Re: This virus!
Morocco is locked down since yesterday until further notice, a lot of people live on a daily basis as borg said earlier, selling goods, interacting with people so those seem to be still roaming the streets, however its completely weird and satisfying to not hear a single honk in casablanca as the tr...

Re: How do you guys use toms in house or techno?
I use toms in every single track I make, they can be a great way to add drive and also improve the groove by offsetting them a few ms. I discovered the best way to use toms is to leave their decay pretty short, they also work well with polymeters and polyrhythms, add a slight rhythmical delay on top...

Re: Modularz 40: Developer, Rhomb, Heretic (Voidloss), Astronomical Telegram
Developer has this track I absolutely adore and never managed to play in a set altho it sounds quite easy to mix that melody just doesn't fit anywhere.

Re: Arturia Minibrute 2
I own a dreadbox nyx and minibrute 2s, the dreadbox oscillators are definitely heavier than the arturia could ever get, special mention for the arturia sine and triangle waves which are pretty heavy, and also the mb2s is very flexible and can make all sorts of noise and textures if used right.

Re: Prophän Experimental/Ambient Live PA
Thanks ! this was recorded using ableton where I basically dragged loops from all the tracks I'm working on and collected/grouped them in one project (very tedious) so it's a mix of stuff I made in DAW and minibrute 2s . the drones are mostly made up of pretty simple one operator patches with a slow...

Re: Hiring Someone to Mix Your Music
I feel like the mix is part of the sound in techno.. the only way I see this working (for me) is to be present when the engineer is doing the mixing work and be able to have a debate over why and if this and that should be done

I'm highly interested in this, but already have a Tr8-s so basically already covered for 808 sounds, might convince myself in the near future tho

Completely unnecessary ,over the top and ridiculous IMO, they should spend their time/energy on more important/useful stuff

Those are brilliant, always a good laugh to see techno being memed, says a lot about how mainstream the genre is becoming tho ( and i'm not saying this has to be a bad thing !)

I would like to see some tutorial on proper gritty dirty distortion done the proper way, not the usual kick fart we are hearing these days.

Get a Monologue ! or a Neutron ! or both ! Seriously ! Digitakt sequencer is really cool tho, especially with the conditional trigs, I would love to own some elektron gear but can't justify the price atm, the digitone is too sexy

Re: New Volcas about to be revealed....
I was excited about the volca modular until I discovered they're using nano-jacks so basically you can't patch it with anything easily. Also my big complain about the volca units is not how hard they are to use, I think in a studio environment they're pretty okay. But the noise-level ratio is fuckin...

Re: Subsekt challenge - Against The Clock
This was made in 10 mins on laptop speakers (blasphemy) with no preparation except my usual template which contains a raw 808 kick an INIT operator, a 909 closed hat and a shaker selector, and of course reverb and delay sends.

Nice track ! I would increase the bpm and throw in some more distortion in there and percussions. Actually I would love to try my hands at remixing this !

Re: Jordanneke - Jubal
What are you guys talking about, the vocals are everything in this track especially when the pads come under them at 2:52. Always loved tribal percussions and warm pads, this track is not what I personally play but I can already picture some of my house dj friends over here dropping it and the crowd...
