Re: BREXIT - The Aftermath
It`s mental.
All my mates in spain have opened a group chat on facebook and are collectively telling me to emigrate to spain. giving me all the details on how to do it, and various people that will help.
haha.
The missus is working from home today, she woke me up with a cup of tea, and basically said "you know all those overseas opportunities I have? shall we have a serious discussion about them?"
I`m kinda ready to go now (no.... not Berlin...obviously not Berlin).....
I`m not sure my sanity can take a right wing country under Boris Johnson.

I actually think he wanted this result.Mattias wrote:Essentially, this is Cameron's fault. He probably made the worst miscalculation when it comes to political issues in modern time; have a referendum about EU (a gamble) to try to prove a point and make sure his nationalist opponents eats dirt.

Yeah.
For me, this has brought out the very worst in the UK and the EU.
Nationalism.
Fear of immigrants.
Right wing resurgence.
Blame.
Fucking hell, the EU was created to contain the forces that have been unleashed by this, we all know what happened last time this and the toxic mix of years of economic depression joined hands. Now dickheads like Le Pen, Wilders and god knows who else will be wanting their pound of flesh from the EU.
Good job Cameron.
Now fucking Boris Johnson will take his place. Christ....

It never should have been put to a public vote.Mattias wrote:Essentially, this is Cameron's fault. The should have had a referendum on something that was inconsequential, that would allow people to have a protest vote, but also satisfy the racists and right wingers?' Something like 'Should the Queen wear a headscarf?'
You can't trust the public to make a vote on the largest decision to happen in the last 60 yrs, with MASSIVE consequences, whose ramifications are beyond the scope of most highly educated people.....
exactly my sentiments,
by the way Jordan, any weather damage from last night ?
I oiled some more of my wood (woohoo) and ended with the wood inside about 15 seconds before the storm broke lose...
tons of damage in this region, but somehow, the only thing I really cared about this morning was that fucked up Brexit news...
fucking went shopping on discogs this morning,
literally saw some seller saying "not available in EU" for a seller from the UK...
WTF, stupid shitheads ???

Regardless, Cameron made a mess. The GBP have always been a stable currency and it's risky now not to mention its falling, it's been my preferred currency to work with the last 5-6 years.
Anyway I think this will also have some positive effects on the EU as whole eventually. They kept messing shit up for a long time now.
No modern country should choose exclusion like this, we all need to work together.

have a look at this video...terryfalafel wrote:This. I think it's also worth pointing out that though it was not at the forefront of the debate, compared to the screeching about IMMIGRANTS and 350 MILLION POUNDS A WEEK, one of the original goals of the EU was to bring peace to a continent which had been riven by war between neighbouring countries in the previous years. In this, it succeeded unquestionably. Whether this was due to fostering better diplomatic relationships and understandings between countries or simply an unwillingness to upset the apple cart with profitable trade deals, the end result was the same - peace. I hope today does not mark the start of that being undermined.Lost to the Void wrote: EU may have been a beurocratic beast, but it was pointed in the right direction. Inclusion, cooperation, discussion...
Now this shitty little island sits all alone waving it`s tattered flag, festering in nationalism, and isolation, thinking it has won.

essentially, this is gonna hurt the UK a lot more than the EU,
and for all the wrong reasons tbh...

Lots of lazy artists, too feckless to make their own scene in the place they live, moving to Berlin to jump on one already established.
And now this

Not really one for sharing my political views on public forums. But this is a complete disaster and one I'm not sure we'll ever truly recover from. The apparent motivation for a large demographic of the leave voters is also incredibly worrying.

Re: BREXIT - The Aftermath
Is there any legal ground to annul the referendum?
Who was the prick who obviously influenced people to vote for Brexit who now retreats from almost everything he said?
And what's with the increasing amount of Google searches about the meaning of the Brexit today?
It smells like heavy shit to me. And nothing like a vote you can really count on. Just thinking.

Re: BREXIT - The Aftermath
And you don't think the remain campaign 'obviously influenced' people with some of the utter bullshit they were spouting out!?!
Fact is, the remain camp seem to paint a picture that anyone that had an issue with immigration as a racist, which is just simply not true!
