Thank you so much steve. This is an amazing present!
First of all, I really love this track.

It was a bit disconcerting at first because of the huge kick. I worked quite a lot on the sub/kick, but really could not nail like you did. Your sub is always punchier, tighter and has more bass at the same time. I'm puzzled ... Any tips on this part?
For the rest I simply worked with EQ to remove what was unnecessary.
I also removed some stereo from the bass content with Eq8 on M/S mode.
I did everything with headphones, as my new place sounds like shit atm.
I mixed on the glue compressor on the master, with a gentle GR.

Obviously it does not sound nowhere as good as your master. Could you work something out of such a mix?

Not bad mate.

Lows aren`t quite as full as I like, but they are clean.

Hats are a little dry, and little too loud in the mix, they need some reverb.
The overall mix feels a little static, could be wetter overall and wider, more of a sense of space, just a touch of spit n shine
I suspect you may have over-EQ`d a little, taken just a touch too much life out of the sounds.

I think all those details aside you`ve managed to take the sounds I provided, which are pretty large and a little tricky to fit comfortably in a mix, and you have ended up with something pretty clean and translatable.

If I was given this as a premaster there`s nothing that would cause me to return to be re-mixed down, and I could easily work with this, I`d just "lush it up" a bit.

Well done.

The mix is pretty clear, I use very big sounds so they can be really difficult to fit together, but you did really well I think.
I would say the low end could be a little fuller, and overall a little punchier (I suspect you lost this trying to get a loud "master").
I think maybe you`ve allowed too much of the top end grungeyness of the kicks through, which does add a little too much fizz in the mix.
And the high end overall is a little too much and a touch harsh.

You handled the "rides" pretty well, I was interested to hear how people would deal with that as the sound in the pack and the final sound in the mix are really different. It was all EQ work that turned that sound in to "rides", though you missed on the rhythmic pumping (achieved through sidechain).

But overall you`ve done a really good job, I would have liked to hear an umastered version as I suspect you may have undone some of your good work in this process.
Thank you for the feedback Steve! Very valuable info! Yeah it's missing a lot of the boom, it doesn't feel as "round" or full as I wanted it to be, overall. I'll take everything into count and maybe i'll have another go soon and see if I can do it better.

Here's the unmastered version. Nothing on the master channel.

Please let me know any mistakes I did there and what I've could have done instead. Thanks again.

And you too Mattias for listening. :)

Had a thought semester last months. So missed the download of the stems. Would you mind putting them on Wetransfer again once more Steve, would love to give it a shot!?

So... here my first version of the "remix/repair"

What I have done...

BasketBall: Random LFO with the Pan | a little of 3x3 Delay | EQ to remove Low end
Chord: Sidechain Compr with "Lite Kick" | EQ to remove Low end | Volume up
Clap: EQ to remove Low end | Compressor | Volume up
Hats: Some Distorsion (Devastor2) | Sidechain Compr with "Lite Kick" | Reverb | Delay | EQ to remove Low end
Lite Kick: Compressor | EQ to remove Low end | Volume up
Main Kick: EQ to cut at 40Hz (more or les) and push a little up on 60Hz to 120Hz | EQ to low down softly the Low end and the High end | Compressor | Volume Up
Ride: Pitch Speed up +10bpm | EQ to cut Low end and a little of High end | Sidechain Compressor with BastekBall (it sounds strange but funny) | Random LFO with Pan
Strings: Some Distorsion (Devastor2) | Delay | Reverb + Compressor | Sidechain Compressor with Lite Kick | EQ to remove Low end
Sub : EQ to remove Low end and some High end | Sidechain Compressor with Lite Kick | Volume Up
AcidExtra: I have added some 303 bassline with some Distorsion (Devastor2) | Reverb | Sidechain with Lite Kick | EQ to remove Low end and some Peaks
General: Speed up the track to 132 bpm´s, doubled the Kicks to roll and make some kind of "change" on the groove, exported with "max peaks" on -6db and just made it louder to -0,2db, without limiter or something, just Audacity

Comments:
-The fucking Sub annoy me... I did not found any way to make it sound somehow "good" :(
-I have also noticed that there were some strange kicks every some time, which was sounding really bad on my DAW. I just located them a replaced with the kick before.
-Maybe it is really dirty mix for some of you... but I have to say that I like that "dirty" and acid techno style :P
-Every comment, correction or prupose will be wellcome :)

Anyway, I´ll try to review it again tomorrow and maybe make some corrections which I´ll comment.

Thank you a lot for giving us opportunities like this to learn ;) and like I always say.... "we learn from mistakes"
