I don't know if this is relevant to anyone (I've personally never used song mode on devices I came across), but I think it's kind of cool that Elektron decided to upgrade their digi line this much:

Yeah - I share studio and equipment with a guy, who was so frustrated that it didn't have song mode (he's quite ecstatic now)

Dunno if I'll ever use it , but it's cool they did that!

Just wish there was an option to lock sounds to tracks, so pattern changes wouldn't mess with your parameters

yes - that's my biggest frustration with the digitone - I rarely end up using that many patterns, because I like to tweak them, and I don't want them to end up in some random new position, whenever I change pattern.
