New Live update from Ableton
New Live update from Ableton
It is not the biggest change in the world, but it is nice, and it has most of the things I was annoyed wasn't in the original release of version 10!

Re: New Live update from Ableton
enter breakpoint values.... thank you
Re: New Live update from Ableton
I wasn't expecting device changes and VST3 support for such an early release in v10. Finally the zooming keyboard shortcuts look useful and they've fixed the freezing of tracks with routing. Good update.
Re: New Live update from Ableton
Just installing the beta. User wavetables and new devices, very nice. Automation updates look great.
Re: New Live update from Ableton
thats alot of good news!
especially the automation curves, and value entering!

Looks like a great update. Keyboard shortcuts ftw!!

Re: New Live update from Ableton
pretty cool new features, especially the automation and the fix for freezing sidechained channels.
Re: New Live update from Ableton
yeah! a quite some of my frustrations when editing automation in Live have been addressed!
Now, if Operator could get some more love from the Abes... a matrix like Wavetable would be super.

Re: New Live update from Ableton
Just read vst2 & 3 plugins with a sidechain input now have a dedicated input just like the native devices. Finally. Looking forward to this one dropping, I don’t have time to faff around with the beta at the moment.

No control J?
I use that all the time.
Re: New Live update from Ableton
So I've had a quick look through the short cuts. There are loads of useful ones! AMAZING Haha. I'm terribly lazy at times. I wonder how much time I could save by using some of them.

Re: New Live update from Ableton
Meh, I'll be off to Bitwig after I 'm done with current project. Ableton's MIDI support is pathetic and I have come to truly hate the GUI with a passion.
My plan is Bitwig for creating stems, then (hopefully) Logic for mixdown and recording.
re: Shortcuts: I got myself an Elecom trackball that has a bunch of programmable buttons so I mapped some keyboard commands to those, such as arrow keys, 0 key (for de-activating stuff) , Delete key and the Alt key so I can quickly nudge notes around the grid or alt-drag stuff without reaching for the keyboard.. It has made using the DAW quite a bit more fun.

Re: New Live update from Ableton
There's lots of great shortcuts. One of my favourites is holding a note and pressing an arrow key to step sequence from.the keyboard, can only do it with the little blur headphone lit.
S is solo now which is really handy. Def learn a few Mslwte!

Re: New Live update from Ableton
That's less of a shortcut actually and more of a command/thing but still good.
