8 channel pre-amps.
What's the opinion on multi-channel preamps out there. I'm looking to expand my IO for my Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 so I can run 16 channels in and out of my desk. I was gonna go with the Focusrite OctoPre MK2 for the simple and probably stupid reason that it matches...That and I understand my Focusrite pretty well and have become pretty good at recording with it. I am definitely interested in other options though.
Let me know what you think.

I love the Saffire Pro 40, and it's the same stuff, right? Getting that thing really revolutionized my workflow and music making.

I think it's the same but the Saffire doesn't have the compressor knobsnomadjames wrote:I love the Saffire Pro 40, and it's the same stuff, right? Getting that thing really revolutionized my workflow and music making.

Interesting. Do you all utilize the compressors?

Yes a lot but not too much. They're softy-knee and sounds well balanced in small dozes.
