Well worth disassembling those packs, especially the 909 one to see how the processing works.

The particular use of lives's devices in the tape ones (I think) are interesting!

One of the best tutorials on synthesis in my opinion, the guy explains everything carefully and with a very beginner friendly tempo, I apologize if it has already been posted here (each part is roughly 50 minutes long):
Part 1 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atvtBE6t48M
Part 2 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJkxGvhOS-M
Part 3 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK3m8sMkTE4

if you want to post youtube video's, you can use the youtube buttons,
and then just copy the part after the "v=".
so for example, your 1st video, you would only need to copy :
atvtBE6t48M

Good video's btw, I only briefly browsed through them, but I see he's at least talking about harmonics. So many synthesis tutorials don't even mention that extremely vital part.

Well I did know about that but couldn't be bothered by it as it would have taken up a lot of page space uselessly, so I figured out i'd rather post the text link directly also I realized I was on the wrong topic only after I had it already posted (and reposted it on the correct topic), and couldn't find the delete button haha

i don't know if this is the right topic to drop this but it just came out in my facebook feed : Free sample pack of classic drum machines, clean one-shots including tr808 and tr909 and many others (68 in total) ! It shouldn't last long so grab it while you can.

Some information about EQing Kicks and the important elements (sometimes not the Low End). Also some other interesting but somewhat basic information.

Don't know if this was posted here, I've just stumbled into it. A lot of the tips can be found on subsekt but hey...

The first article on gain staging that I've found, that complies to what Void explained as gain staging some threads ago. Sorry if it's already been posted.
