Jordanneke - TECHNOOOOOO

Inspired by going to see DJ stingray the other month.

I came up with this roller.

Warning, it's not trendy, progressive, droney, or complex. Although it doesn't have 909 rides, it's pretty 1996.

Again, it's not gonna set the world alight.

Ps. this is definitely techno, not house this time

i think you could more work o ln a bass a bit, however if it's what you striving for leave it, snare could have a punch, i love your pads and i think could leave those pads at the second drop maybe raise volume just a bit and cut at the the end.
And i think hats could be a bit louder.
i like it:)

I like the punch of the kick and overall feeling is great, you haven't done this attempt first time I think or at least it doesn't feel as if you have.
Do more, go more, please more, I want more!

The pads could be a bit wider to get that huge, epic feel.

I think the lowend could be pulled back maybe one or two db, it's mixed a tad bit loud.

Nice work! More!

Agree with dubdub on the pads, but I just like the track anyway.

Yes, very nice. And I think the hats are fine at that level.

Love the oldschool filter runs and the raw character - classy! reminds me of my good old tribal techno time

Thanks lads, i'll look into the mix suggestions.

I'm really happy that some of you like it. I didn't know there was still room for uncomplicated loops!

i prefer a good & driving simple loop over some sophisticated super textural hipster track any time

How do you come up with so many good tracks so often?

I'm guessing talent and hard work might have something to do with it...

I think it's not only talent, it's putting time in your talent as well, 10k hour rule guys 8-)

Lads, it's nice that you think I'm talented and I'm flattered... the only thing I can do without too much thought is getting sounds together in key, or using simple chords. AND don't forget, my tracks are pretty minimal, not too many individual tracks, so mixing them isn't rocket science. The rest is trial and error error and more error.

I've been fucking around with music for 15 years or something, a few hours a week, no where near 10K hours.

Compared to the stuff I like, my tracks are like child's play. Simple harmonies and finger bashing some keys. I'm no where as good as I want to be.

My work-flow allows me to make a track every 2 weeks or so, but I'm extremely limited with the time I can spend in a session, so I suppose that helps

I'm only on the laptop at the moment but this sounds great man! What a groove! Love the hats, kick and repeating vocal sample thingy. The string ideas are also nice.

All it's missing is a 909 ride ;-)
