Buko to the land
Buko to the land
It's a re-work of the rave track. Done the stab myself, wrote the lil bitch in a new key and put some more life into it with another few elements.
Haven't touched drums or arrangement, I like it as is...

Thoughts? Thanks heaps!

Re: Buko to the land
Mix feels a bit too high mid / high end centric.

I think it's much more interesting than the last iteration.
I get what pudbuq is saying. The stabs feel like they are too high passed, kinda brittle and stand out of the mix too much. Perhaps try easing off the filter, and lower the top end a touch.
One thing i'm not keen on are the snare/toms that are brought in at 1.30, they just don't fit. Those work in a more funky house type, but this is pretty straight techno/tech house.

Yeah, for me it just feels like it's a bit lacking in the mid frequencies. Maybe ease off the filter, dunno. Just feels like there's a big gap between the stab and that wonderful kick+rumble. I kinda like the stabs though, except at the 2:45 drop, feels a bit cheesy there imo... Dunno the progression is a bit too... Anticipated.
All in all a decent tune, even though it's not something i would listen to normally.

Thanks a lot for taking the time and giving the feedback guys! I had a bit of a hard time with the stabs, it took me ages to even make them stand out. Looks like I went a bit over the top though. Good point to take and thanks for the hint on how-to Jordan. Thanks!!
