good evening folks,
havent posted anything in a while. I guess i was in some kind of creative hibernation.
But i just aquired a new piece of old 90s VA gear. the beautiful Novation Nova. That finally inspired me a bit.

Anyway, here is something i have been working on for quite while. There are a few too many ideas in here... but i just cant force myself to keep it clean and simple.

Really like the groove on this man.

Not to keen on the sound that comes in at 2:02 - totally subjective but i'd get rid of that and bring in the sound that starts at 3:07. The saw sound could also do with some work; mixed better with some more low end and delay. Again, pretty subjective but think it could sound better than it does.

The tune reminds me of getting being serious compromised on a dance floor at Bangface!

I imagine it would do well served as a "change of pace" within an appropriately themed raw/industrial set. Handy for it a well considered non 4/4 kick pattern, and some interesting elements besides.

Not sure what I make of the synth @ 3:08, I would maybe like it to sound "bigger and further away" and more obscured by the upfront nasty percussion.
As you forewarned, the busier sections try to get away with a smidgen too much.

The arranging seems spot on.

Well done. and nice distortion.
I'm Hilarious

Some professional mastering engineers use multi-band compressors.
