Hello subsekt members,

A new track that I produced several weeks ago and finally put the last touch yesterday. I published a first demo in a previous post... and voila now it s done.

I made the riff from my prophet 5 and built the track around it. It is full of energy, it goes fast and it is relentless.
The rhythmic part was synthesized with model:cycles from elektron. Then sound design with Valhalla plugs + degrader from Klevgrand.

Finally made my own premaster with M/S eq'ing / bit of compression / saturation.

Structure-wise, the main synth riff gets a bit tiring cos it's always in there. And it's only a few notes, if it was more complex it might work better like that. The track works pretty well when you listen to it for a minute or two, but six minutes needs some different sections imo.

That said, I'm not an expert at this type of techno.And I have trouble with my own arrangements as well.

It's always a great idea to listen to some Underworld, but in this case it might be of particular use. They have really good techno arrangements in their music. How they build tension with simple elements. Dark and Long comes to mind, the way it starts with a simple techno riff, then builds from there.
