Heretic - Towards The Unknown Sea - Patch Records

Post by Lost to the Void »

Heretic is a new project from me to compartmentalise my various sounds.

Heretic.
A project started by Steve Voidloss to compartmentalise a specific sound of experimental techno. The sound is a juxtaposition of degraded audio at the breaking point of coherence with simplistic hooks. The beats are complex within a 4x4 structure, falling apart but very dense. This project allows Voidloss to return to a deep, pure, more polished, musical and hi tech sound. Heretic is where all the dirt and grime will happen.

Lovely release. The last 2 tracks stand out for me.
I'm fond of the artwork as well.

Is it digi only?

Yeah the fucking label have an aggressive distrib who copyright striked me ON MY OWN MUSIC.

Not impressed. Will get new links up soon. The labels own links don't really demonstrate the tunes very well.

Ok, I`ve upped the labels links for the time being.

They basically don`t show the main meat of 2 of the tracks, which is why I uploaded my own previews.

Yeah, artwork is great, their in-tem artist did it for the release, oils and acrylic.

Digi only yes.

Really great release! I like all 4 tracks, they all got their own vibe/mood to it.

Really great EP! I specially like the 1st and 2nd ones

"Bless the children" is savage!

The blend between heavy percussion and melodic high pads is really really nice
