Voidloss - Hypnotica Rising - Subsist

Post by Lost to the Void »

My latest techno offerings.

10 simple melodic tracks taken from my special PA performed only once on my birthday in Spain.
Not really an album, just a bunch of music.

In pre-order now from Subsist Valencia.

Agreed.

'Divinity is the Parallel Lines That You Can Never' is my favourite. Just love that extended pad progression thats going on.

Quality in every detail, as always.
Percs, atmospheres, chords... are really awesome.

Thanks gents, you are all very kind.
I`m normally known for weirder/darker stuff so I wasn't sure how this would be received as it shows my love for early 00`s progressive house and melancholia in general and is a little "straighter" in execution than general for me.

Just wait `till my album comes out later this year.
You`ll hate it.

In this kind of sounds, or character, style (melodies, chords, atmosphere...) would you say that is "easier" to get something good (in your perspective) or at least in good position in the scene, in comparison with things people do around there?

Or maybe you find that doing "weirder/darker stuff" and trying to innovate or sound fresh in that fields is easier?

Honestly, this music is childsplay to make for me, I don`t mean that to sound arrogant in any way. But this kind of techno is just easy to make.
I`ve gotten better reviews and more acclaim for this release than anything else I have done for ages, including my recent double vinyl release.
It`s the most commercial thing I have done for a good while, and frustratingly the most popular, in terms of the amount of feedback we got and are still getting.

That`s not to say I disrespect the music in any way, but this release took maybe 2 weeks to make.

My last EP on Singularity took months, and I consider it to be much better. Well, much more inventive any way.

So yes, I expect if I was to knock out this kind of music more often I would get a lot more fuss..

I`m bloody not going to though.
