tc electronic Fireworx, Doepfer MAQ 16/3, tape recorder,...

Post by Hades »

Ok folks,

I'm selling some stuff because I need the cash and I'm not using it enough :

1) Perfectly working T.C. Electronic Fireworx 400€, or make me a reasonable offer

Only reason I'm selling this extremely versatile and wonderful unit is because I have a 2nd one, and I need space in my studio. :)
To give you an idea of what this baby can do, most FX in this track were done with the Fireworx :

For more info on this unit :

2) Doepfer MAQ16/3 step sequencer. 500€, or make me a reasonable offer.

Just not using it enough. Wonderful thing though, used by Jeff Mills a lot (not that I really care about that, but yeah)

You can find more info on this wonderful unit in this article :
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/feb98/a ... epfer.html

3) Pioneer Tape Recorder Pioner RT-1011L. 250€, or make me a reasonable offer.
I bought this from an audio engineer who had just serviced the whole unit,
so needless to say it works perfectly.

Unfortunately I will not ship this thing since it is too heavy,
so buyer will have to pick this up in person.
Or I can drop it off when buyer pays for my gas. :)

4) Roland R5 Drum Computer circuitbent. 200€ (unless Voidloss still wants it)

If you're looking for heavily distorted drum sounds with tons of grit, then look no further. This thing is mean and dirty as fuck !! :)
And the blue LED part looks wonderful...

You can listen to some demo's here :

contact me if you have any questions guys !!

What's the history of the Fireworx? How old is it? How long have you owned it for? Any problems with it? Box and manual included?

Whereabouts in Belgium are you?

Box not included, why whould you even need the original box for a rack unit, tbh ?
But yeah, this will get shipped in a very safe wrapping/box. (and insured, of course)

Manual is online available, so I don't see the need to waste paper on that, tbh.
I have bought it maybe 10 years ago from the 1st owner.

It's been working perfectly untill the power part...
well, fuck me, I don't know a better English translation now, I guess you could say "internal adapter" or "voltage regulator",
needed to be replaced,
at which point I paid 150€ to a top notch vintage audio repair technician to do this job and check the whole unit,
and I bought another one in the mean time because I was in the middle of finishing a track where I needed this unit for.
I bought 3 complete vintage hifi sets from this guy, so I trust him completely,
but nonetheless I still completely checked this unit after it arrived back from service, and it all works just as well as before.
So yeah, you get a free service repair/maintenance in there for the price you pay. :)

I was planning to keep both units, tbh, since I don't like to fall "technically unemployed" in the middle of a track, as they say,
so if I could afford a spare unit of all the stuff I use on a very frequently basis, I would surely keep it, but unfortunately I can currently do with cold hard cash.

mr falafel, surely, you've seen me post on here more than enough.
probably more than you care to read. :D
I'll be honest : you can find other units of this FX box in other parts of the internet, you don't need to get my unit specifically,
I totally understand your questions (I ask exactly the same sort of questions whenever I'm buying something, tbh)
but if anything, I can guarantee you I would NEVER sell anything if it wasn't perfectly in working condition,
and I NEVER ask a price that is too high according to current market prices.

If you still have any more questions, just let me know :) ;)

ps I'm in the central part of Belgium, about 1,5 hours driving away from the Dutch border, but I do not disclose my exact location in public, PM me for that,
tbh: my unit came from Holland originally, and it's a really light piece of gear,
you are extremely welcome in my studio (the same goes for almost all decent subsekt members btw),
I'll gladly even make you some nice dinner or lunch and perhaps we can have some beers together while you can check out my whole studio if you feel like it,
but I doubt you won't be cheaper off with me just shipping the unit instead of you picking it up.
I once bought a mixer from some guy in Amsterdam, and it took me 3 hours of driving from where I lived back then,
so that would mean you would have to drive 3,5 hours now from Amsterdam to where I live now. ;)

ow, and btw : if the thought of "once serviced/repaired" scares you away :
I'll gladly just swap my currently used unit for the one that got back from repair.
But with the one I'm selling now, at least I know it's history,
and I know the repair guy is such tech-geek that everything I get from him is top notch... :)

With the one I got inbetween, I don't know the history at all.
But both units work totally flawlessly, so I have no problem swapping them if you care to have the other unit.
Hell, if you come over in person, you can even chose on the spot which one you want,
but you do the screwing, disconnecting, blablabla...
you do all that lovely stuff yourself... ;)

UPDATE :

TAPE RECORDER and DOEPFER are gone. :)
The circuit bent drum computer and Fireworx are still available, though I'm hoping to sell my Fireworx here to mr falafel in the near future ;)

I'm still tempted by the drum machine, but not for the live pa as it might be too random to be recall reliable for that.
So next month if it is still available I'll check back.
Just blew a wedge on stuff for the studio.
