U.K. - Items for sale

Post by CountingToes »

I hope this isn't frowned upon in here, but I have some studio items for sale and i'd rather avoid ebay if I could.
Here's the list.
Im in North East Yorkshire (England)
Happy to post or deliver locally or to somewhere along the M1 on the way to london
No prices set, I figured it would be better to accept sensible offers, PM me if interested
I am selling to fund the purchase of some new bits so please feel free to offer up trades, Ill consider most offers.
Most items are boxed with manuals etc, everything works 100%
Thanks

that's quite some new bits you need then, looking at the total price of all this gear.

what are you planning to buy with the cash, if I may ask ?

Thanks, sorry for the hassle, missed it as I wasn't logged in when I looked.

Yer, I guess it seems like a lot of gear, some of it has already been replaced or superseded and has been sat doing nothing for some time though.
Other bits like the voyager, I just don't use enough to justify keeping.
Got my eye on some cheaper bits, all £2/300 ish, bits i know ill use a lot
Moving house has thankfully spurred me into action

"some cheaper bits" ?
that's too vague of an answer for us (ex-) gearsluts.
what are you planning to buy ?

(If I had any cash to spare, I'd buy that Lexicon of you,
but no such luck for the moment...)

will check out those links tomorrow (too far gone at the moment)

but one piece of advice before you pay for extremely expensive monitors (barefoots) :
will your room be acoustically treated ?
because if not, your money will be wasted on those really high end monitors.

I've got Focal Twin 6BE's here, and thank god I treated my room at the same time I got them or 80% of that accurateness would be simply lost.

Yer, the barefoots are going to take a while to afford yet I think.
I did win 50m2 of acoustic foam on ebay a few months back but have delayed mounting it due to the move.
Hopefully they'll breathe a bit of life back into my old Adam A7's

don't take foam, take fibreglass panels.
they are much more effective.

Foam is fine for high frequency, useless for for anything below low mids.

apologies upfront for not earlier checking out those links.

just watched the 1st and 2nd link.
I can't really say much about the 2nd one, just looks like a niche analog but definitely more affordable product.

but the above link ?? that koma elektronik filter thing ?
What on earth should be the reason why people would want to buy this thing ?
I've always hated the d-beam controller on roland gear ever since they first started introducing it,
and having owned over 10+ roland synths (still got 6 here but only one of them is new enough to have the damn D-beam) over here,
I can assure you it's not some blind roland hate of mine...
what the hell did that video demonstrate that you can't do with a some normal envelope or LFO or step sequencer modulation ?
or hell, if you really want to : waving your hand across the d-beam... :?

no offence, and to each his own of course, but that piece of gear makes me shrug...

gotta admit I love that piece, but yeah, got my Eventide to kill my needs for proper FX, so I doubt I'll ever pay for one of those units since I don't play any guitar at all
sounds fucking great though !

and how much do cheaper barefoots cost, if I may ask ?
isn't that an oxymoron ? :)

haha, yer it may be a little, I think they were 4k last I checked.
The Koma bit I like because of the little sequencer and the compact size, the d beam is a bonus for me, seems like a very expressive tool for live and studio use, however, Ive had to downsize my studio now and the Koma is no longer on the list for me.
