Sven Holz kicks - Bottom and Tops!

What is it?
Let me start by saying this is not just another sample pack. I don't know why people keep bringing them out, because they all sound the same…
Oh, and no gay sex is involved either, sorry cunts

Instead I am offering you my own tools, giving you a total of 175 files (75 bottoms and 100 tops). that you can mix and match to create your own kick drums.
75 x 100 gives you a whopping 7500 possibilities!

Another possibility is to use the bottoms (or tops) on their own, it all comes down to what suits in your current song.
Of course you can layer multiple bottoms or tops too, if you want to make it an even more personalized kick drum.
In Ableton Live I choose to load them in a drum rack, have an EQ8 on each layer and a compressor behind the whole chain.

Where are they from?
Of course I could tell you some bogus story about how these were all recorded from expensive oldskool drummachines, recorded through vintage pre’s, then bounced back on tape for that great analog warmth.
Truth is that they are not, they are all high quality WAV files. Most sounds are from my private collection that I gathered over the years, others are from my 707, Acid Lab Miami and Vermona Kick Lancet (these all went through my FRM Audio RNLA).
I EQ’d them to taste, so in most cases you can layer them without having to do any extra steps. Though personally I always put an EQ on each layer and a compressor at the end of the chain, just to keep things nice and tight.


How much do they cost and how can I order?

(somehow with the name Sven I always think of that scene in "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas" where Johhny Depp checks in at a hotel full of cops, and the receptionist being as gay as they come, saying "me.. Svvvvennn !" to Mr Depp. Ever since that scene I associate the name Sven with being gay though I know that makes no sense at all. If it's any comfort to you, it's not half as gay as the name "Detlef" though )

I have just send you my money.
If anything I am extremely lazy when it comes to kicks (and even most of my drums in general),
I can spend days and days running my synths through FX and resampling stuff, but when it comes to kicks, it's gotta go fast.
I'm hoping your pack will come in handy some times.

This is the 3rd sample pack I ever buy, and I usually hate 99% of them.
But yeah, I can spare 10€ and see how good (or bad) it is.

One small tip : please make a longer soundcloud clip.
I mean, how many kicks do you hear in there ?
Make a soundcloud clip with just kicks, I'd say hearing at least 10 kicks would be a lot more helpful.
If I wasn't in an extremely good mood, I wouldn't have bought it judging on that clip. It's just not enough info, doesn't convince me at all.

Ow, and I do hope you're gonna be contributing here in our lovely little corner of the big wide web ?

I don't know, but somehow I really can't be bothered much with kicks.
I absolutely love sound design, but I'm not the slightest interested in putting energy in kicks.
I know they're the vital pounding heart of your tracks and it's important to get them right, but I just can't be bothered.
All that stuff about making sure there's some top end in your kicks.
