This is a work of pure genius and amazing studiocraft.
Anyone who has played around with noise music, feedback loops and no input audio experimentation should be able to appreciate the craft and work these guys put in to do this.
Matrix mixers are the way to go though, route anything to anything. I got one years ago when I was out playing noise music. So much fun. I still generate a lot of sounds that way.

This is a really interesting topic, been dabbling with this since I first heard/recorded it. Feedback loops can make great raw sounds to use for a variety of things, have made a couple of tracks entirely comprising of sampled feedback myself, too much work to sculpt things on the go and get a decent enough result (ie not 'great for what it is' but just for serious-ish tracks in general).
Plugged this link a couple of times now, but I'm a big fan of Arcane Device (http://www.pulsewidth.com) who purely uses feedback for everything he does, also using self-built devices to generate the sounds.
