Had a play with another loop and had much better results by concentrating on tuning all of the elements first, and then working the levels and compression secondary. Definitely helped working that way.

Thing is I already knew this but as usual I forgot a certain process. I find there are so many things to remember when making music I forget shit. I also need a fast method to get something down quickly otherwise the I lose the mojo.

Played out last night at a small-club-with-a-nice-bar / bar-with-nice-soundsystem place in Brooklyn. Sunday nights are supposed to be more mellow, but we had a large group of pre-lubed folks roll in around 1 am looking ready to rumble... Luke got their asses moving:
