Anyone here into sort of rougher, straight up house stuff? Not necessarily 'low fi' house but just more like straight for the dance floor, nothing really over engineered, just some fukken house u kno?
I'm after some inspiration if anyone has heard any mixes recently or any new releases... a lot of stuff coming out right now is real polished bordering on tech house imo. (If you ignore the 'low fi' scene but that's kind of gone too far the other way for me tbh)
dj honesty is really cool
you should check the other artist on the cabinet records label aswell

Ah sick, not heard of DJ Honesty before but both those tracks are great. The beat in Gamma slams. Exactly what I'm trying to find more of

Yeah that track gamma is slamming.
I emailed him to ask how he did it. He replied, but I couldn't get it to work as well as him.

That Mr. G set is proper banging, been a fan of that one for a long time, would really like to catch him live. Liking the sounds of DJ Honesty as well, will get on that. Probably an obvious answer, but I loves me some Detroit flavoured raw house - Moodymann, Theo, Omar S, Rick Wilhite, Kyle Hall, etc etc - they know how to throw down some seriously dirty grooves. Was a big fan of the album Mark Hawkins did a few years ago as Marquis Hawkes, some definite bangers on there.
Realllyyy enjoying that blog mate, i've sent it to a few friends also who are feeling it.

Yeah, kind of, but i'm i'm trying to achieve hard groovy lo-fi sound, with a really sexy vocal, it's really hard to find something new at the moment, everything is so mainstream, or I'm just not looking right then (sip cold ass cider)
