SURVEY: Autoproduced "musicpreneurs" in the music industry

Hello everyone

I am producing electronic music for over 10 years now and I think this is my first topic here although i signed up some time ago. I hope this thread is adequate, I read the rules and I figured this place would be the most appropriate for my request. If not, please erase it, and accept my apologies.

I am finishing my thesis in order to graduate and I am covering independent models in musical industry and i am deeply convinced that you could help me a lot. I try to figure out the trends, the obstacles and ressources that surround the independent labels and independent, auto-produced artists.
In this survey here I focus on the situation auto-produced artists have to deal with.

Also in a bigger picture, I hope there could begin some kind of discussion on how to manage to be auto-produced, and all the tips to be shared so it helps the community.

Here is the link to the google form : https://goo.gl/forms/SN83x5IqZueBwXyG2

Again, I hope it won't bother anyone, and thank you for your cooperation.
In any case, I won't regret it as this forum already helped like no one else ... :) CHEERS :D

FUCK YOU YOU SPAMMING CUNT. :D

No, that was a pretty straight forward and polite introduction.

If I fill in the survey, I hope you'll participate in the forum.

Welcome

Was wondering, too. As I'm not native english I thought I missed something. Maybe it's the next big thing from google or apple? Autoproduce - don't do anything but give us your money and get big tunes.

I think it's supposed to mean 'self - produced'.

Problem with some surveys is that when you answer no & the next question doesn't take account for that.

The English translation of the questions is a bit confusing also. Hope you get what you require from the data.

It's a bit like auto-fellatio, I imagine.

HELP A GIRL GRADUATE!

Hi there,

For my thesis I am researching the social media within the Techno scene. For this research I need to take a lot of surveys which help me determine the wishes and needs of Techno fans. Can you help me out and fill in the survey below? It would mean a lot to me and it only takes 10 minutes of you time.
Thanks a lot.
(in the top right corner you can set the language to English)

You can research by observation, you know. Not everything has to be a survey.

Or, you could - you know - leave the house and go to some nights and actually speak to some people.

These surveys & the way they've been presented to the forum are very poor. It's bizarre, but they're absolutely genuine as far as I can tell.. just poorly excuted.

Edit.. Ivan seemed human at least.

Might be that some of the sense has gotten lost in google translation. If it was there at all in The first place lol

Hilarious that people think they can get good results for their education like this. Good luck! If it's to do with a social media thesis, then the irony is not lost on me.

Not even a .gif of a funny cat to be seen anywhere. What are these people being taught? :)

The internet remains in safe hands. Those lecturers must be laughing all The way to the bank. Fair play!!

Hello everyone, i was pretty overwhelmed with work, but i received all the answers and i THANK YOU very much ! It helped a lot !

As for AUTO-PRODUCED, i might have chosen the wrong words. By this i mean artist that produce albums/EP by them selves, no labels, no managers, no funds, juste personal investments, self released (direct contact with distributors, vinyl factories, retailers etc...)

And I did the survey on a lot of different places (facebook groups, friends, other forums) so it is a little bit relevant, and maybe it may seem useless because it is possible to identify trends and behaviours just by observation, but it was requested by the school that a survey was made.

I am indeed human :)

Thank you again, and keep making this forum a great place for producers !

Regards !

Ivan

You are definitely right, and I did have some interviews, but as I said earlier, I had to, it is part of academic requests and standards to have quanti surveys, and for this topic it might seem irrelevant, but again I had to :) thanks anyways
