Iam against speculation -
and thats what it seems to have become.
A new market for the finance industry
I dont doubt that it was a cool idea once

Yeah, unfortunately the democratisation of currency has been appropriated and it`s just another speculator to gamble on.

I follow the technology and have a token amount but certainly dont speculate or otherwise trade. It's a fairly interesting tech solution looking for a problem to solve currently.

blockchain tech has solved many problems where trust and verification is an issue, just that it has not really been used widely enough to make an impact. it is still very early adopter stage for most of the good 'coins' and blockchain uses.

people who talk openly about their gains from any crypto are foolish.

there's a lot of shit though and people are trying to or have successfully made some bank by tricking people to "invest" in their ideas which were never going to come to anything but have the words 'blockchain solution' in it, so fooled the foolable.

I knew an early adopter and he was truly passionate about the ideas at the foundation. He was the kind of person who refused to renew his expired government identification and I had to buy alcohol for him some years ago. The people who seek investement opportunities are slightly amusing. I've had and used some but I'm not really interested at this point.

I've bought some (just not at the best time... :geek: ) and will keep most of it regardless of the price development. I don't have a deep understanding of the tech but I do follow some news ect, and I generally find the concept very interesting, even though all the speculation and plethora of shitcoins is a unfortunate development. I do think though that the current fiat money system is doomed to collapse at some point. And if that happens sooner rather than later, or even if its only a proper recession, it'll be very interesting to see what will happen in crypto space.

I knew of a few people that used it to purchase party supplies when the dark web was becoming a thing. They were most pleased with all aspects of the service and the high quality of produce.

They were less than enthusiastic when the price of bitcoin skyrocketed a few years back and they calculated what their nights on the razz were valued at

Sure, the $91,994 they collected so far come mostly from me.

It surprised me u all only talked about the speculative aspect of Bitcoin, and nobody mentionned how such a technology could lead mankind to a better economy. It's idealistic yea, but do you realize how huge bitcoin is compared to Euro, Dollards, and other fake currencies.
