The last track that Wowed you
Re: The last track that Wowed you
I recently rediscovered Clark's Turning Dragon. It's almost 10 years old by now, but damn, that album still packs a punch.
It sounds so different and fresh.
I love how some of the tracks on this album completely change of tone over time, like this one for instance.

Man, that's not a beginning producer sound! (unlike 95% of us here)TimBuys wrote:youtu.be/A6Yes8o90CI

Re: The last track that Wowed you
I simply can't get enough of this groove.
The simplicity is astounding, but the urge to move is infectious. It's pretty much everything I strive to have in my music
I had to email him to ask how he did it .

You got that right. He's probably a bit too tech-housey for some people in this forum though. I'm expecting him to get pretty big in the next years to come.jordanneke wrote:Man, that's not a beginning producer sound! (unlike 95% of us here)TimBuys wrote:youtu.be/A6Yes8o90CI

The thirteenth release on Tommy Four Seven's 47 is his first own EP on the label and the track that rises above the rest is Hornet:

Most of MORD's output is derivative and self-similar, but Lag's All The Children Are Insane EP is as good as one would expect from him. He's a huge current favourite of mine.

Stanislav Tolkachev's upcoming There Is Almost No God EP will also come out on MORD, and it's one beast of a release. Tolkachev's been on my purchase without prejudice list from since my first encounters with is work. He just keeps getting better with every release.
Last but not least is VSK, both his EP on previously mentioned 47 and with a fantastic remix of Gareth Wild's Limehouse Cut on Eartoground.

I love syncopated rhythm patterns and industrial grit - tracks that make my jaw clench and teeth grind.

This guy is actually a mate of mine, and he's one of the best techno producers in Melbourne at the current moment proud to see Australian techno getting some kudos!TimBuys wrote:youtu.be/A6Yes8o90CI

And those are high-value kudos too. It was a long time ago since I was so impressed with a track. Big props to him.SFBM wrote:This guy is actually a mate of mine, and he's one of the best techno producers in Melbourne at the current moment proud to see Australian techno getting some kudos!TimBuys wrote:youtu.be/A6Yes8o90CI
Here's another one to add to the list.

Alright, so I just recently discovered this young kid, a fellow Lithuanian residing in Amsterdam (I think). Pretty much every track of his wowed me. This very raw broken beat techno is just amazing.

OR:LA played this in a boiler room a few weeks ago. Sounds even better when it's sped up a bit.

I love this track, the synths that come in 1:20 onwards trip me out

Re: The last track that Wowed you
This one wowed me back when it came out and I bought it on vinyl. Still does today, the vocal is perfect, the effects on that vocal sound so fucking good, especially after a smoke. The whole production is perfect, wouldn't expect any less though from Paul St. Hilaire & René Löwe. One of my favourite records.

And then there is this, a close 2nd favourite in my record collection. When I bought this I played it on 33 for the first month or so, then I realised it's actually a 45. If you have it, play it on 33 and give it a listen. I still prefer it slow. To me it sounds like he got a guitar (although it may be a synth) and twanged a chord, sampled it then put it through a load of processing and sent it through some delays. The other tracks on this EP are amazing but this one blew me away first time I heard it and is still my favourite by Shinichi Atobe.
