I bought the Live 8 Suite for the discount free upgrade to live suite 9. Its March the 5th .... where's my f'ing download???

Anyone else hovering around the ableton site looking for a download button to appear?

The Ableton website has gone down ... looks like it has been flattened by a mob of eager Ableton Live 9 purchasers!!!

699.5mb for Ableton Live 9 and 175.3mb for Max.

Then theres loads of packs to download at leisure ... retro synths is over 2gb. There's gonna be some smoke coming out of my router today!!

It's at times like this I love how we've become so reliant on the internet. When people really need it, it breaks down. Been reading about 56k download speeds. Lol. I can imagine in 10 years time. Sorry little Timmy no present on Xmas day for you. The website went down because of high traffic.

I'm not really impressed with the new features in 9 - so I'm not upgrading just yet.

And I'm really itching to spend some money right now, but $250 for the upgrade just doesn't seem worth it to me. None of these new 'features' seem that great or useful to me. Guess I'll wait til some really nice MSP plugins come out or until version 10.

Agree arc, the changes don't seem worth that to me, unless you were going to get M4L anyway or you really value the new effects. I got the free upgrade offer or I wouldn't have bothered. I'm hoping that some of the changes they've made are paving the way for bigger new functionality in the 9.x updates (e.g. I heard that enabling session automation recording required quite fundamental changes to the engine, which you could read as something that will enable cool new features to be built on top of that now the groundwork is out the way) - I'd hold off and see if I was in your boat though

It's a bit difficult these days to know if newer versions are developed to keep themselves in the public eye and have themselves seen as current amongst their core consumer, or whether they're actually interested in pushing technology.
In the graphic design world Adobe role out a new version every year or 2 with minimal advances and little backwards compatibility.

Oh I think the features are just great, I`m just not impressed with stability, especially sync problems and PDC, at least on the latest beta, and I don`t see them sorting out those problems in the week since the last update

I'm holding back. Just to see how things go. My computer works fine as it is and I want to see if there will be any issues running live 9 on my processor and ram. I couldn't resist the upgrade from standard live to the suite version and the free upgrade to 9. Thing is I've only used the extra features in the suite version a few times
