Hola!

I'm Filip and I come from Croatia (EU). Music junkie for 20 years (I'm 23 btw)...I've had a few releases few years ago when I started with production, mostly house, but then i realized that every idiot can c/p samples from sample library's, and decided to learn how to design my own sounds (still in the learning process, but not anymore noob i was like back then)... DJ for about 8 years, but since the crowd and promoters here are bunch of retards, gigs are on hold for now, and full focus is on music production...
I'm here "stalking" for about six months and can say that this is a great community with a lot of open minded people, not egoistic idiots like on previous forums I've been on.

Keep up the good work and support guys. Cheers!
[sry for bad english]

Some of the tracks I can say that are worth something, and are under Ferry Van Hreen (mostly for house) project:

I quite liked that 1st track.
So you're saying that's pretty much all done by throwing some loops together ?

The three tracks I've posted are actually made of mostly one shots and main part of melody which is sliced sample ( 5-10 sec duration ) and arranged, except Welcome jack where the main part of melody is pulled from royalty free samples; but the first few released tracks are just a bunch of loops draged and droped from libraries to FL (e.g. percussion loop, melody loop......). The biggest problem with this kind of work was at final stage of creation (mastering), where the sound was so bad that a bunch of tracks I've made is unreleased and deleted, because it contains to much different samples with different sound color and quality...so beside that everyone can do this drag and drop, and as result get a good arranged track, the shitty process can't be repaired with mastering and final result is terrible sound....

Hi guys, nice to e-meet you ;)

I'm Mr. SHIDZO from Berlin - of course. I used to DJ quite a bit in my early twenties, I reckon my biggest milestones are playing the warm up for names like Âme, Rodhad, Shonky and Spencer Parker. My heart beats for techno music, I like it minimal and industrial yet melodic and spheric. Tech house is never wrong either. Does it punch?!

A year ago I decided that I want to learn new skills with the aim to produce and share my music with the community and enrich the lives/nights of others. So, that's that.

People who influence me... Cleric, Keith Carnal, Setaoc Mass, Daft Punk, GZA, Outkast & Mike Oldfield.

Looking forward to having some great conversations and sharing input.

Cheers

Heeeello!

Lurker from Sweden here! I've learned a lot during the years reading this forum and it's about time I join fully and contribute.

I love most techno and house, as long as it's "deep" in lack of better terms. Tracks that are not only functional but conveys some kind of emotion, purpose or whatever.

Peace!

you're a prospect cunt.
so if I want to make tech-house,
you make all the loops,
I throw them together,
I pay my way into the buttport top 10,
take selfies with hot chicks,
...

After a while new prospect cunts will arrive,
when you want to make your next big room techno hit,
they will make low reverb rumbles for you,
white noise risers,
and you'll have more time free to practice the depressed look you need for when they make black 'n white promo pics of yourself.

it's a never ending circle of ultra-creative cunts ! ;)

No worries!

I went to a Panorama Bar closing recently with Gerd Janson & Âme (Kobosil joined in the end) and it blew my mind, as always. There is something about that punchy tech house music that freaks me out. It's that slow-ish but yet rumbling and rolling basslines, these kind of kicks and especially snares - I just love it :) Bless having a Monday off. How good was the studying time... On the other hand, you would never ever get me up there during a set of my heroe's :D

Cheers cunt!

hi. i like techno. ist gut. i take a lot of inspiration from dark techno like SNTS and i like some ambient composition stuff too like stephen o'malley, really been digging nick ryan and john matthias' cortical songs record recently although it's not a new release.

im doing a masters in music and produce/dj on the side as well as throw events every so often, going to see vsk/antigone this weekend, should be fun. also i find it mad that there's a forum that's still active. oh wooow there's even smilies. retro as, i love it. hope to get to know some of you all better and looking forward to some great disccusions :-)

(also i would like to clarify before there is any confusion lauren is just a pseudonym and not my real name)

basically, you just want to state for the record that you're a guy,
afraid that all hell will break lose if people might suspect you're female and like techno ?

Or are some of us allowed to dream up even more exotic things about your origin/nature/hoseninhalt... ? :D

Just in case you start to worry,
I am totally joking,
and I should hope none of us would care a split second about who you really are.
We're all just cunts here, who happen to love techno,
so welcome to subsekt ! ;)
