Hi!

My name is Ben (duh) almost 33 years old and from Belgium (east-flanders, Aalst)

Biggest interest was always music, and one of my hobby's is dj'ing, wedding's, birthday party's, normal party's...
I'm also dj at a local radiostation, but for the moment I only make playlist's, therefore I made mixes but was getting a bit tired of that... maybe it wil come back. The genre I play there is not exactly my favorite but it's ok (normal house, retro house, hits).

For many years I'm also interested in producing my own stuf... but I was always fidling around and not realy serieus about it. Watched tons and tons of tutorial video's on Youtube... I think I have a bit understandg of the technical aspect of producing... but it's the creative side of things that always let me down. Tried (pirated) many daw's, favorite was Ableton... because of the workflow. But when it came out I got my eyes on Bitwig.
And now I bought it, and man, I can say, a daw can make or brake really your creative flow. Loving Bitwig so far and for the moment working and a track and liking it!

My favorite genre's are drum and bass and of course techno. The track I'm working on is techno...

Of course there are many sub genre's in techno, but liking the bit harder stuf, one of my favorite artist's is Paula Temple...

I came across this forum because there are not so many of them specific to techno I think, but one thing I noticed that most members create more experimental techno? Not my kind of thing, but hey... I'm sure I will learn from it.

Hoping that I also can help other people and of course, it's al about being creative and having fun!

Ow, and excuse me for my bad english, doing my best :p

Nu opnieuw beginnen in Bitwig.

Die samples mag je me altijd doorsturen, leuk!

if you're new, you can't use the PM system yet (and it's not very reliable anyway),
so I'd suggest you just contact me via PM on my SC,
and give me your email, and I'll send you the samples.

(shit, gewoon al automatisch in het Engels begonnen, haha, typisch ik...)

Hello Vladislav here...

From Slovakia eastern europe. Really happy to find this place... have Been missing it in my life. Working as bartender in this place for missing culture called fuga. After couple of years doing different stuff like hiking, climbing etc., back to music production trying to make something "complex" this time.
As has been said : "there is only one kind of music.... the good one and the bad one"....
Well I prefer the good one. For me it means darker and heavier industrial stuff..

Cheers and thanks again to all for a place like this...

welcome to subsekt, you'll fucking love it.
Please feel free to express your opinion at all times.
When done respectfully, I think we are all open to discuss whatever you want to discuss.
I'd like to believe (or fool myself) that we are all eloquent adults in this part of the internet. ;)

and if I may : I disagree with there only being good and bad music.
There are many different sorts and varieties in the good music department,
and unfortunately the same is true for the bad music department.
But of course, such a thing is entirely open for discussion... ;)

It was meant as a joke ( drumfill, cymbal). But if u think about it as : the good one ( the one like) and the bad one ( one u dont)... it kinda fits... ;)

Hello!

Super long time lurker here thought i'd finally say hi and start contributing!

I'm 32 from sweden and recently took time off work to focus on producing.

Been producing for about 6 years, taking it abit more seriously for the last 2; still feel like a beginner though :)

I've learned tons on this forum hopefully i'll be able to give something back!
