Are we dead?
Not very active these days yeah.
I used to visit subsekt all the time in the 2010's (seemed pretty active back then?), but I haven't logged in since 2019. It looks rather dead today. Is there another forum people have moved to?
Gearspace is active but it's not really a production forum, it's a gear hoarder forum.

Other than that, music forums are dead more or less. Facebook groups kinda took over them but now they're dead as well. Discord has active communities, I read a few. But they are small and scattered, so it can be difficult to find an active one about something specific like techno production. I'm not sure if one can even, like, browse the discord servers anywhere, or search for them? I found a few decent servers by accident really.

I kinda feel reading and writing in general is dead. It's all instagram, tik tok and youtube nowadays. I would personally really, really prefer reading about stuff rather than watching a video. I'm probably just getting too old for this shit.

The Elektron forum is busy. Obviously heavy on the Elektron chat but there is generally a good vibe there, with all sorts of gear and ideas discussed there.

People are often gear focused but beneath that there is some interesting stuff going on and they are incredibly helpful/friendly when you have a specific problem.

Wow, yeah, I never really considered that until just now after reading your post. Instant everything, all of the time...
