I tried to get Eve Wood (Made In Sheffield, The Beat Is The Law) to make a documentary about Bleep Techno a couple of years ago, but she said there was a bit about it in the extended version of The Beat Is The Law and didn't think it was worth extending into a full length doc.

Someone should do it.

looks interesting. i still think Energy Flash by Simon Reynolds is one of the best books i have read, i prefer non-fiction books which tell of events where i could never have been at. I'll order this. thanks.

Its a gigantic piece of work - Matt, is this you? Doesnt matter either way, but bloody hell.. it really seems like a thorough effort. Just when you think the chapters cover everything, the appendices / recommended listening (per chapter) appear. I've yet to dive in, but I can sense the genuine, sincere effort that was put into this. Even the tracks have notes beside them, linking up tangents & giving out trivia.

Phenomenal stuff. Looking forward to getting lost in it. Thanks for doing it.
