I have always wanted a great hardware synth to go with all my ITB stuff and having played around on a monomachine at a mates house, it has always been the one I would buy if the price ever came down.

As soon as I saw this thread I fell into Elektron's trap and ordered one

Can't wait to get my hands on it.

They sure went fast. Monomachine sold out and Elektron has to make new ones now. Haha.

When I placed my order it said 'in stock' so I presume that they are obligated to fulfil my order??
Only ask because I've had an email saying thanks for your order blah blah blah, but as of yet no dispatch details. I will be pissed off if they fuck me around.

On another note, if I'm willing to spend £600 on a machinedrum could anyone here recommend another similar unit that they believe to be superior for around that price?

I was emailing a local shop and asked about their stock. They were all out and he also mentioned that Elektron was out of supply. But hes about to contact them on monday to hear about the their next shipment. So I don't know really. Hopefully if your lucky you'll get yours soon.

Hopefully, fingers crossed.

Like I said the elektron site said in stock when I pressed buy so I would like to think that they would fulfill the order ASAP.

Is the Machinedrum UW worth 400€ more than the previous one or should you just go on the cheaper one if money is tight. Will I sit there and feel cheated if I buy the MKII?

I seriously doubt you would unless you don't like having an amazing drum synth.

Dude, I can relate...in the end I went for the monomachine (but only because I wanted to add a hardware synth to my set-up)
It's like choosing between acid and mushrooms...both fucking amazing but in totally different ways.
