I fucking love & HATE Ebay. I like selling stuff.. but don't like paying the fees. Its always more than you thought.

I fucking HATE auctions. I hate getting involved in them.

Was bidding on the latest thing there & got into a bidding war with another lunatic, however I had the sense to call it a day. I've bought stuff at a far higher price than I had hoped to pay just because sometimes you fall into that trap.

Really annoying. Anyway.. at least I raised the end price for my nemesis lol

Exactly how I do it. Bid in the last 5-10 seconds sorted. I've never lost an auction! When it comes to eBay I don't fuck about if I want the item badly enough to buy from there. I set my limit and will only bid if there is enough head room at the end.

I really don't get people who bid over the duration or on tiny increments. The auction it's not a traditional going once, going twice styled one. It's timed!

I won some baby item last night £70 new. Won for 7.50. But was willing to pay up to 20 for it.
The other persons value of the item was obviously 7 quid. Seriously how stupid is that.

Maybe it's me but surely that's how one should go about it. Think about what The maximum value of the item to you, as opposed to how cheap you want to get for it.

It's a bit like gambling lol bidding can be a slippery slope and you can easily get carried away. I don't buy much myself atm.

Put your limit in early and walk away is something I do as well. Another thing I've done before is towards the end of the auction is to increase my bid by a pound or what ever the minimum is making other bidders think that the actual price is close to my max bid, when it isn't and that I'm getting scared that I'll lose out. It's worked a fair few times, they'll increase their bid but not enough

Yeah always set your limit, and don't bid on the zero. Always go for odd numbers.
