PaulXStretch release as VST

Post by Stace »

Sup famalam!

I am thrilled to see that PaulStrech has now been released in VST form.

I'm sure you're not all utter morons like me and always forget how to use the past iteration of it (in my defence, I rarely used it, mainly as I was always forgetting how to)

Downloads :

Windows 64 bit VST2, for Windows 7 or newer :

https://goo.gl/G5vgTM

Mac Os 64 bit VST2 and AudioUnit, for OS-X 10.9 or newer :

https://goo.gl/dSGVS2

No Linux build yet, but will appear at some point. Support for 32 bit, Windows XP/Vista and old Mac OS-X versions is not in the plans.

Source code hosted at :

https://bitbucket.org/xenakios/paulstre … n/overview

Enjoy.

Love and stuff xoxo

I've been using Paulstretch for 10 years.
I was honestly not expecting a vst to emerge this soon.

I made a thread about the VST a while ago when it was in Beta but it got buried. Btw, can anyone explain to me what some of the more obscure parameters actually do? I don't think there's a manual anywhere. I can usually guess from what it's doing to the sound but I rarely know what it's actually doing to the sound.

Don't know about documentation but the latest builds of the VST highlight the groups of parameters based on which stage of the processing pipeline you select, which made it more intuitive for me.

I'm really confused my this - trying to use this a send and it's not doing any stretching... It just repeats the signal that's being sent through it.

Thanks heaps for this. Already got something to work with out of it, somehow!

(sorry for perpetuating "the secret")
