Anybody had a play on one of these and got any thoughts?

Ive got a Moog sub37 which i love but this Behringer Model D for £300 seems like it could be a steal, compared to the original £3k+ Model D.

Heres Van Hoesen giving it a test run..

Thoughts?

I wanted one for a bit, but finally realised that old mini sound is....I dunno... A bit boring.
So it's great that it exists, but if I wanted another mono, especially a behringer one, I'd go for the new semi modular one they recently announced.
But I don't want another mono.

I think I'll be getting the Neutron ahead of the D. It seems more interesting and forward thinking and all that good stuff. But - I've seen a few videos now of the D that have pretty much convinced me that I'm gonna have to have one at some point, I mean yeah it's certainly not a new sound, but damn, it's £300 and it does this:

What are some good poly synths that wont break the bank? Ive only got a yamaha an1x and minilogue for poly synths atm, which are great but id like another non mono to play with as well.

I love my Blofeld, very versatile and lovely sound.
Deepmind 6 is nice.
I'm getting a preenfm2 next... 14 voice polyphony FM synth, up to 6 ops per voice.

Excellent choice. So many good sounds in this. Unfortunately the editor is a pain to set up, in Windows at least, but (considering the price) that's the only thing that lets it down imo.

I think I'll sell the Shruthi XT that's served me well for a few years and get a neutron when it comes out, just for a bit of a change

Every time I see a topic about this thing, all I can think is “everyone wants the D!”

I must say that after hearing some of the comparison videos, the Miniboog is very close to the Minimoog. Even Kenny Larkin said to go and get it because you can't go wrong for $300 bucks or $500 in Canada. I own a Sub37 myself and I still want that Model D vibe!

I received my unit yesterday and I am pretty impressed by the sound. I thought it will be very similar to the sound of monark but I created some very rewarding farts with the boog which are on a completely different level (it's my first analog synth, have otherwise only VAs)

i have to be honest, i'm very tempted. i don't need one, but i've always wanted the moog sound. it seems like a no brainer.

After listening to some comparisons and speaking to people that have one, its extremely close to the actual Model D sound.

Im definitely gonna get one. And for £300 retail, you just cant go wrong.

Just looking at the fun / price ratio this (and the reface CS) is probably the best purchase I ever did. Not sure how often I will use it in my productions though

I'm glad they made it, but I have little interest in acquiring it. I'm more interested in the announced UB-Xa.
