Weird waveform
Hi guys,
some guy I know has been making a track. after exportation we run it through adobe audio to make it louder (literally pump up the volume, not mastering it). when we opened it, and it showed us a weird waveform. It looks like the wave is dripping or something. When we turned up the volume in the program it didn't seem to clip (what I would expect it would...).
Anybody experienced this before? Or does anybody have an explanation for this? Should I do anything about it, or should I not be bothered?
here is a pic of what was going on:

Re: Weird waveform
Tnx! I somehow made the waveform symetrical during mastering, but I don't know how I did this. Is there a standard procedure for this?
Re: Weird waveform
Same thing happened when I tried recording external gear any clues how to fix it ?
