Wee bit of a cunt without a seq. Sounds nice though!

Would hate to be drawing in notes for it in a midi clip. Reckon if I wanted that 303 vibe, I'd want the built in seq with all the slides.. TB3 or whatever.

Havent done much research on the TB3, but if its as gimpy as the TR8 it's probably got some LOL issues that other clones dont have.

I wouldnt go for the TB3. I havent heard much good about them and the 2nd hand market is saturated with them.

I use a TT303, proper piece of acid kit, though its still oldschool pattern programming which can be a pain as I'm not that trained yet.

Not heard the real thing by itself in a long time but this just does not sound very convincing to me, the filter is close but the oscillators are off somehow. Nice price though but a one trick pony it is :D

It's analogue and it's under 150 euro/£100 - so it sounds incredible for the price from the demos.
Yeh you would have to use MIDI in to it which is a bit shit...

How many times is this fucking thing going to be rebranded!?!

- Fat Freebass FB383
- MAM MB33
- x0x-Rack
- Next! Spacebass

I was one of the idiotic cunts that bought a Mode Machines x0x-Rack thinking it was actually a x0xbox . the sequencer. I so regret not researching that a bit more before I hit buy. Opening it to find a photocopy of the MB33 instructions was like a punch in the face. I really should of sent it back within 28 days and got a full refund. The only reason I still have the thing is because Circuitbenders do some nice mods to these and maybe one day, if I ever get past my current utter loathing of acid, I might get it modded. Unless someone wants to offer me something for the thing?? They're not that great at high resonance squeals and dripping kind of acid tweaks in my opinion as the filter goes weird over 3/4 setting when the resonance is full, which is why the Circuitbenders mods address this issue.

I suspect that this might be the one to knock the Xoxbox off top spot

It isn't going to end up being cheap though.

This is a rebrand of the FB383!!! no shit.

Haha, I had 2 of those, modded the filter on one.
Donated them both to an acid obsessed mate of mine after I could finally no longer live with any acid producing machines in my studio after many years.

Made this before I got rid of all my acid machines http://www.junodownload.com/products/di ... 366297-02/

The FB383 was a nice little unit, if 303`s are your bag, you could get some good sound out of it, if you modded the filter you got a much rounder sounding square wave.

Nice little box! Would be curious as to how much they'd go for over here in Australia/The price after exchange rate, though.
I'm thinking it would probably end up being about the same price as buying up parts for a xoxbox kit, so would end up being a bit redundant lol.
Still pretty cool little bit of kit.
