For those who love those sub rumble kind of kicks, here's another way to approach it, presented by Randomer.

I quite like this tutorial by Tom Hades (I know he is not Hades, but is my mind playing me a trick, or has he posted here before?)

Not so many new things in this. But I like the way he builds up the elements.

And that sends for atmosphere thing - I might give that a try. It seemed pretty efficient :)

This one is pretty good - surprisingly awesome clap sounds from Ableton's Operator - but it's also presented in this hilarious Microsoft Sam style text to voice.

This video with James Wiltshire (and the full thing from Computer Music) was better than I expected:

I really enjoy his tutorials as well! Wish there were more tutorials like these. I think this is similar to Ike Dust kinda stuff

I dont get what's so good about it? It sounds novice & amateur and the tutorial clearly displays that's the case.
This is a great example of how destructive online-tutorials can be. Holy crap.

I see a lot of people these days looking for tutorials about Bumload sound so I find this kind of refreshing. I usually don't rebuild the stuff shown in tutorial videos. I just watch them to see if there are any sounds in there that I'd like to recreate and play around with and also to see what different techniques people use to be able to compare it with what I have learned so far and get a glimspe on what I could do differently. And as long as I can find something new to try at some point I think it helps me.

Cheers for expanding on that. I'd like to encourage you to search a bit extra and to not set the bar as low as that tutorial.
Even if it's Bumload sound you're after it doesn't cover it very well.

Don‘t get me wrong here :) I acutally wanted to say that I‘m not into all that Bumload stuff but most people seem to be wanting to sound like Bumload. That‘s why I enjoyed watching this tutorial. It‘s more like the stuff I‘d like to produce, a rather raw sound. Even if it‘s not a technical gem :ugeek: :)

I‘d love to see more videos on the stuff Ike Dust or labels like Voxnox, Flash Recordings and Kanzleramt for example are doing rather than Bumload all day. :?
