Watched it, good stuff would recommend. Absolute legend, it's refreshing that the talk is more about creative processes instead of boring old gear talk. It's also motivating that he's still full of energy and freshness after all these years

He also explains indepth that hes just jamming out the tracks with hardware, and i understood his reasons for that (imediacy, get involved in the music, transport the moment to the listener)
But i still dont like all his latest stuff, theres tracks where it works perfectly well, but theres also some tracks that are seriously lacking depth for me

I love him (though not his music any more), but there have been so many Surgeon interviews in the past 6 months it`s beyond stupid.

Also the Lady Starlight question.... Don`t know how he answered that one with a straight face.
His answer probably should have been something like "I do my best to cover up her amateurish random button pressing"

I enjoyed it. Was good to hear how his mind works & how he approaches making music.

Especially liked the summary advice he gave at the end. I respect him as he quite meticulous with his words. If he says something, it's cos he really means it.

Been looking forward to this one for a while. Remember seeing him back in the day. We've all got years on ourselves now. Amd we are Wiser. It's good to communicate. Especially now.

Back then, I know he was doing an early version of MBB on daytime afternoon radio & doing very 'blue' standup shows around Ireland. Maybe even some MBB theatre. But i think he's always been loathed by the majority of the people in Ireland.

There is now a thin begrudging respect for him because he made the British buy his shit, recycled, formulaic 2nd rate, magpie comedy.

Anyway.. think it was Italia 90 world Cup. The Irish soccer team held him down & cut off his trademark pony tail. Everyone thought it was brilliant.

It’s heart warming to hear he is loathed in Ireland. My Mother in law and work mates love the programme. Another reason why I hate them. It’s infant school level humour. Disgraceful

Basic enough really, but very rational and direct.
