DIY Soundcloud App

Anyone considering this? Apparently you sell your music directly through Soundcloud, mixes and/or single tracks. Maybe I'm an old cynic, but theres probably a load of hidden gremlins in the contract!

Dont know much about this gav but I just signed up to bandcamp and that has everything I need and seems very resonable Check it out mate

I signed up to the DIY application last year and used it for one track only so far. I kinda forgot all about it to be honest. Mostly because I rarely get the time to just write a track and put up on my Soundcloud or Bandcamp to sell. I got a contract with stuff to sign and fill and that was that. Need more experience to give a proper answer.

Does it look unlikely it gonna happen? Do you get a report of sales etc?

Usually royalty payments happens each quarter. It's slow in this biz for sure but when theres some releases and remixes out you dont really notice it, it flows betters.

I've got to this point ... which is why I give tracks away ... haven't made even a penny through sales. If there is a track that I've done which is not downloadable, its only because someone has asked me to remix for them so they can include it on an EP.

Loads of crap labels out there now. I guess its the way things are going. Just as anyone with pc can make a track, seems like anyone can be a label too!
