Hi guys. Great idea with this thread, and some cool loops/tracks posted! Here's my attempt.

6 tracks, 2 of each sample. 10 Effects.

Great idea Mattias.

Made this in about 20 minutes.

I used 5 insert effects, 6 tracks, and a bunch of modulation in my sampler.

Some cool loops/tracks so far.

I have had a fantastic few hours messing around with these sounds and leaning how to make new sounds and riffs through tweaking, re tweaking and re sampling. This has been a very good exercise for me. I also limited myself to two hours max, otherwise I'd still be tweaking!

Here is my basic jam.

So, what have I learnt?

Kick drums ran through Delay and re verb can be re sampled to make interesting rhythms.

So can percussion sound really.

I shouldn't always reach for my sample library when current sounds can be tweaked to fit.

I don't need to load up every plug I own, and I certainly don't need to buy any more plug ins.

Keep it simple stupid.

Some great efforts done so far, impressed.
Was fun to use such plain and bleak samples, really had to push.

Here is my effort

Quite a lot of granulation involved on the tom drum to make a Pad
6 channels on the desk, 10 FX, . post mastering to get the levels up.
Fun fun.

I like that man. Its amazing how different we've all done it.

I hear you on the keep it simple aspect. I think if anything it's taught me to move on if I'm not getting the sound that I want. Stop flogging a dead horse.

Yeah, very impressive work everyone.

My contribution is embarrassing compared to some of the stuff you guys did.

Had very little time, but decided to quickly have a go.
Would've loved to nail a pad of some sort, but somehow did not manage to do one properly, so dropped it in the end.
I believe i still have one or 2 fxs i could use to do that, but no more channel. Also did not use any EQ yet.

I think everyone has done a great job, all different, some unexpectedly so, there's no excuse for making mediocre bumcode now is there?

Some really nice sounds in that Hendrik. That Porc-y / stab sound is filthy haha

I know about the pad sound. I spent ages originally trying to make a synth sound from the tom in sampler.. shortening the loop points down to get a tone & modulating it, but it sounded too static, no matter what I did. Just needed some more fx probably.. but really, a synth would be best for a synth sound - and so I moved on.

I got a nice pad sound by accident in the end. I resampled something & it was just kinda there on top, so I took out the lows & added a bit of overdrive to bring it up. But it was luck that I got something I was happy with haha
