Same as Evert - gave it a first try but nothing worth earing so far... I'll get back to it when I'm done with my current track.

Nice one Speen. It's got a steady drive and I love the lush pad.

I didn't recognized any of the samples   (ok, I don't know them all that well either)

And I'll try to add a couple hats and kicks to the folder ;-)

Def got a good energetic drive going there speen, nice work!

I started playing around with this and have a ok base going, nothing to show yet though. Some more drum and hat samples would be very helpful

thanks guys! listening back I think it could use a bit more automation or another element, maybe I'll try that later.

there is kicks from Evert and Macca, a congo loop from you 2latuile (I believe) and a bunch of samples from dubdub obviously.

Now you mention it I might spot one of my loops indeed

Added a few (one-shot) kicks to my folder (in a "kicks" subfolder, yes I had to tell else no one would have guessed xD). Nothing special but most kick processing only makes sense in a mix as far as I'm concerned, but I might work on a couple "effected" kick loops later. Hats and more kicks to come in the next few days.

Here is what I came up with.
It was challenging to create a coherent track based on all the different samples provided, but it was great fun.

I reckon there will be issues with the mix that need fixing.
Right now, I just wanted to share what I had.

Wow, great job! Even without the sample challenge aspect, this is an awesome track in it's own right.

Speen's track is also nice.

also I have trouble recognizing any of my samples so you guys are doing a good job mangling

Yes, sick track Evert, very impressive! I love the breakbeat rhythm, is that from the sample pack or did you program it?

Cheers guys.

@ Speen: that's Macca's "Think break".
I used different parts of it in the track.

It would be fun to start another challenge, if other people are up for it

May I suggest a remix / "finish my loop" challenge ? We all (well, I think  ) have abandonned tracks / loops that never turned into tracks that we don't really know what to do with, why not share them to find out what someone else could make of those ?
