Yes to tape delay, no to a half assed 4 track that doesn`t even meet the features of the most basic 4 tracks back in the day.

IF they actually made a decent 4 track, it would be cool as the prices on old 4 tracks are ridic

One of the interesting things about this is on the post they made about this on facebook the majority of comments are people saying 'please make this' and 'take my money' type stuff.

Well in the hunt for "te anal logz sound" 4 tracks came up.
Mainly due to some video featuring some dubstep producer using one.

But it is quite valid to take a *decent* 4 track with 4 channel simultaneous input, and split your audio into 3 (1 stereo 2 mono) or 4 (mono)buses and dump em on tape, then record back in to the machine for a nice sound.
Personally I think you are better off buying a stereo reel to reel and dumping onto that.
But reel to reel is a while other world of complication.
4 track is easy, especially for post analogue kiddies.
