z3ta has been my secret weapon for SO LONG. probably about 15 years.Mslwte wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 8:43 pmI don't have many soft synths and I mainly use what's included with ableton but I have recently started using cakewalk z3ta again after many years. It's actually a really decent synth with lots of little preset gems. Loads of trance type presets but if you turn off the arps and do a bit of tweaking it sounds decent.it also has wavetable capabilities.
i love it. nothing sounds like it.

ay-o-me-ady-oh!!
I have it now. Sounds great. So many mods on it. Bloody hell. Fantastic.
Thanks for that. The breakdown / penny drop was exactly what I needed.

Re: Favorite soft synths? (2k19 edition)
I hardly use soft synths any more after getting back into hardware. But when I do, I tend to reach for Serum by default, if I'm creating something from scratch. And then I use Pad Shop Pro (granular) and Harmor mostly to process/resample things I created elsewhere. Guitars, drums, foley, whatever, I run everything through those fuckers.
Re: Favorite soft synths? (2k19 edition)
I tend to use hardware emulations, not sure why though. Possibly because I like relatively simple synths..

Does Kontakt count? I discovered Kontakthub and the tons of weird and cheap libraries. That’s kept me amused.
Also the TRK01 Bass is a great little synth.
Rediscovered Granulator II and, thanks to Brent Kallmer’s videos, the Reaktor library. One day I’ll get up the time / courage to build stuff in blocks.

Mainly Monark here for analog and Razor for digital and Ableton's Sampler for resampling, I am trying to limit myself to less plugins these days. Anyone else find that it helps their productivity?
