An hour of music with Joseph McGeechan's Obsoleet project.

This is going to be very good. Been looking forward to it for months. Joe's set is all unreleased material as far as I know.

quite boring actually, it's going nowhere for me.
the sound design is strange, lo-fi but not in a good way...
seems it's the same drumkit all way long with random sequences of hats and claps, i see no structure in this.
there is an interesting sound from time to time but that's all.

You do realise this was a Live PA project, that would explain why it's the same drum-kit?

with ableton you can do a live pa with different drumkits easily.
i don't see the point making a live if it's to sound like this.

a live from planetary assault systems don't sound like this for example.

it's just my opinion, maybe you find it very good?

I'm 30 mins through it now. I find no problem with it. Reminds me of old Sonic Groove stuff, I like that kind of sound.

i have to agree with wapwap just a same old boring kick and the synths and stuff are not enjoyable but who cares if he likes it and people like then go on

I'm somewhat biased, but this techno is total rawness. No bells or whistles, just pure primal stuff. He's not trying to be all things to all people with this music. Its got one purpose & that's to attack.

He's on target if it provokes a reaction. I think Joe is gifted.

Agreed proper warehouse stuff.

Also its completely different from his broken beat stuff.
