An odds-on favourite for interesting things to come..Jake Conlon has worked with the likes Pareto Park, TrusT, Cicuta, InputOutputSystems and Decoy to name but a few. He regularly has his tracks played on the CLR podcast and recently won the subsekt / Mattias Fridell remix competition.

The Birmingham Upsetter & Resonance DJ provides the music and words for subsekt 030. Look forward.

Interview to follow.

Nice words. Really digging Jake's stuff. Just recorded a mix yesterday with another 2.of his tracks featured.
Speaking from someone from the UK. I'd say the lads north of the M25 are making the most interesting music.

Just checking the set this evening. It's got serious pace, which you don't get a lot of lately...

@ICN
BTW was that your first naked interview? :)

Thanks :)

Yeah, not going to stop making anything :) I wouldn't call it "Old School", id just say it sticks to the core ideal of what a bit of Techno should be.

Birmigham sounds like a really good spot to be.
Think I'll pay it a visit at some point.

I'll bring my girl with me too and she can wear her 'jake conlan made me come' t-shirt haha!

I absolutely love this "old school techno". Bloody hell what a term, I'll tell you what, whatever it is its a damn site more exciting than hundreds of tracks with just a beat, bass and a few swooshes here and there leave that kind of plod to the people with know imagination that jizz their keks over that sort of boring "continental" (please excuse that but if you know, you will know what and who I mean), not being xenophobic but it stems mostly from more recent clr and derivatives.

Keep em coming fella and this pure form of techno is definitely about if you know where to look, bloody tons of the stuff!
