Re: Nacasat- shadow over terrarium
Started to play more with stereo image and I can say it pays off. Firstly I needed to adapt my ears to that, aso I never really payed attention to this, but when I shook of the feeling of "this sounds weird when it's panned" I see how much I can unclutter the mix by simply panning some stuff. Probab...

Re: MPC Live Major Update.
The MPC 2.4 OS update got announced to be released in February. Itll bring us sidechain compressor, and some vst plugs ( working in standalone mode) taken from AIR Creative FX from Pro Tools + some new ones . I'm looking forward to use gated reverb, and the channel strip. Also they apparently fixed ...

Re: Nacasat- shadow over terrarium
True with the mono thing... I mix only on headphones, and any panning starts to suddenly very "obvious" I should pay more attention to it in general.

Re: Mixing desks and difference in their quality.
Time to get a new mixer then... The one that I borrowed from my friend is not some top quality gear either (some old wharfedale pro), but still it makes whole lotta difference when going against my shitie mackie. I knew that the top studio gear have real qualities in terms of eq, pre, and compressor...

Mixing desks and difference in their quality.
Yesterday I fucked up power supply for my mixer. Small, cheap, and portable Mackie mix 8. I never had problems with this one, and I don't necessarily need a bigger one. Though I play a live pa next week, and I felt gutted with being unable to practice. So I borrowed some other small mixer from my fr...

I don't see what "reverse play" would be? Title look for satanic messages in Led Zeppelin songs played backwards?
I wonder though if new drive would be powerful enough for lathe cutting, or people will still need those external ones.

Re: Volcas
My gf got herself a "PO Speak", and wants to get "tonic". Those little operators seems more fun to use then volcas tbh. Specially the tonic, where u can load drum sounds made in microtonic vst.

Re: Nacasat - Curfew
I found the pattern and kit on my RYTM. This one gonna get re-recording done properly and in separate trax so I can mix it in DAW. It was mixed loud and fast in one afternoon to be honest. Now it will get more proper treatment.

Re: Death Is The Only Way
I like the kick, but true the mix is quite busy, and later on the track that kick gets buried a bit too much. Solution could be some equing( dip to the low mids of that pad ie.). I like the track, theres plenty of nice going on.

Re: ---- Elektron User Topic -----
Tuning drums on a rytm... Is for example a bassdrum machines "0" in tuning the note "c"? And therefore +12 an octave? And if so, is this with all rytms' synth machines? Or how do you do it? Also playing melodies in that sequencer? There is no easy way to show played notes, no? Only via parameterloc...

Re: Vermona DRM mkIII
. Now I guess only true drum machine lust I have is for the LXR, as it wouldn't overlap rytms sound pallete. Yeah LXR is great. Gotta find a good builder though. Was actually thinking to build myself. Doesn't seem like very complicated. I think there's no SMD, and most of it is soldered through pcb.

True knob per function is great thing. I prefer ability to save kits though. XDLost to the Void wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 8:02 pmStill, for the price I think it's probably one of the best analogue drum machine on the market.
The knob per function of it makes it a great live machine.
