Re: New members say hello...
Hey and welcome. There are a couple of DAWs to choose from and they all work differently were each have their own pros and cons. I would suggest that you download some of the trails and watch a couple of tutorials on youtube and experience the differences first hand. Software alone would be enough t...

Re: Commercial M4L devices (Isotonik Multiclip editor)
Yes and yes. In my experience if any devices starting to freeze etc its probably time to check for any updates. Maybe try update Max and see if it helps?

Sonimus TuCo
Heads up for the new plugin by Sonimus. This time it's a compressor.
I'm still using the Ableton stock and glue and have been looking for a new one. Tried Presswerk once but it wasn't for me. So this looks interesting.

Re: What is Techno?
All these different subgenres that have emerged throughout the years get their own integrity in a way too with time. So what essentially was a subgenre before is now just a genre. DnB and Dubstep for example emerged from Jungle and Dub but are "original" genres with their own rights today. Its the s...

Re: Can't have monitors, am I doomed?
Proper monitoring is essential over any other hardware that is true. Will you be able to make a decent track with just headphones? Absolutely.
If you know how your headphones translates then it shouldnt be a problem. Listen to a lot of music in your cans and get to know them fully.

This is so anal...
But yeah, I have to admit that some parts of the second track sounds a bit minimal techno, especially the ending.

It sure is. But it wasnt even minimal techno to me, I define minimal-techno something more close to lets say Extravelt or Stephan Bodzin.

None of the tracks above is Techno for me. The last track feels more Minimal than Techno.

Re: iPhone Voice recorder versus Zoom
It's a huge difference man. If you like to record your own sound getting a dedicated handyrecorder is very recommended.

Yeah, that mid-freq rattling noise that sits throughout the whole thing so fucking nice. My favourite track.Evert wrote:I love that constant tension in Tramadol Based Murder Thoughts.
Great release overall.
