Btw, I ain't no royalty. Yes that is what you claim at least. Well... If I am I don't yet know about it. Also one more thing about the topic: Try and relax and enjoy the moments you are given (this goes for all of life ofcourse, but can be quite hard to remember when you and ur partner are taking t...

To be fair l don't really watch the news at all though. I did ask my misses and she apparently had a friend who had to be flown to Finland so I stand corrected.

Re: fatherhood
I reckon they were born more then 2 years ago then. Nope. My son is 1 and a half and his "friends" around the same age and some newborns were all born here in Stockholm without anything like that being mentioned at all. Tbh l hadn't even heard of this before. The worst I'd heard was that non first ...

Re: New release techno shows
I dunno, just go to hardwax and click new releases? But that takes away all the fun from having somebody else, preferably some hip hipster, show you (and everyone else) all the hidden gems out there. But yeah, check out all the techno release sites and put your back into it. Aint no other way I'm a...

Re: dubdub - lofi dub
I really like the stabs man! Good friggin work on those things. Interesting enough to do some project without the kick at all. Just some droning low-end with those things... I'm not feeling the relation between the kick+bass plus the rest I guess is what I'm trying to say. Im not feeling the groove.

Re: Buko to the land
Yeah, for me it just feels like it's a bit lacking in the mid frequencies. Maybe ease off the filter, dunno. Just feels like there's a big gap between the stab and that wonderful kick+rumble. I kinda like the stabs though, except at the 2:45 drop, feels a bit cheesy there imo... Dunno the progressio...

Re: Heavy Techno Rythms
And if you wanna produce stuff that has superb production quality there is no shortcut. Practice producing and also, which I believe is truly overlooked, practice listening to music. Try and understand the music you listen to. Although Im not really even a decent producer im fairly decent playing gu...

Re: Heavy Techno Rythms
If youre looking for the 'drive' of the song thats already been covered a bit here in the classics. But I think the more important queation you have to ask yourself is if you really wanna just sound like somebody elses replica or do your own thing you know. Like with any music really. Anyone can lea...

I doubt that we do. I'm from sweden you know... And I found it through my own way of ploughing through massive amounts of music.
You guys have any good strategy to automatically exclusively finding tracks you like when you on the hunt?

NYUQkq0I3Zw This one is off its tits. Fuck me it's a good track. Man... those tracks like that have made me leave a few parties actually. Not in a good way though :geek: A lot of the underground parties here in Stockholm play exactly that. Hate it. Sorry mate  this one is the latest banger...

Re: How to incorporate own clips/samples when mixing
I played exclusively with Ableton for about a year maybe 10 years ago now. I used a dedicated controller to do it and chopped up lots of tracks and tried to reconstruct stuff in my sets. It was a lot of work to keep fresh and to be honest I preferred beat matching the music and being more involved ...

Re: How to incorporate own clips/samples when mixing
Planar: So you just use an external midi controller for your sets? Or what's your setup? I kinda wanna keep the feeling of "standard cdj / Vinyl mixing" but just add a little extra originality by mixing my own loops in... I dislike the idea of the traktor mixing way where the job wheel is basically ...

Re: How to incorporate own clips/samples when mixing
Yeah to use my own productions during sets. But not a whole track. Just to load in clips during my set. Mixing into ableton from the currently playing track seems like a good way to kill the vibe... So victer you only mix via Live? What controller do you use and do you still mix externally or intern...

How to incorporate own clips/samples when mixing
Yo! I am feeling a bit lately that I would like to incorporate some of my own stuff for my mixing/djing. So I guess the easiest would be to somehow incorporate alt. completely switching to mixing in ableton. Anyone here have some experience with "live + regular mix hybrid"-sets? And what's your tips...

Re: if you had a time machine
remind me that if my mrs and kids ever get to die in some kind of car crash, I move to Sweden and start growing shit. I mean, seriously... I heard some hilarious stories before from some bad people over here, but the Swedish cops sound like quite a joke. were you the first one to eat out her pussy ...
