Re: Recording/ Producing/ Finding.. Vocals

Yeah one of my mates site is Vocalizr, he mainly produces PROG or breaks, has some big writing credits and ghost writes for some of the bigger Australian acts. The sites doing really well and some good talent if you want some serious vocals (not sure of the spoken techno word stuff) but who knows, g...

Re: Whats Gonna Happen In 2020? (Personal / Music / Life Stuff)

We have a little boy on the way due in February, so I’m going to be working and not sleeping and keep trying to pay the mortgage. I’m guessing everything else will take second place.

Really sorry to hear about your Dad Pelecaras

Re: Anyone use the Behringer Neutron ?

I would say it’s worth it, one of the original designs by Behringer, cheap, you can connect it via USB so no midi cables are needed. There’s a thread here already. One guy made everything on a track with one including drums so I’d say it’s pretty versatile for a mono synth

Re: Arturia Pigments for $69

It is powerful, similar in ways with the Oscillators that can be used for samples (Pigments has two, Alchemy 4). Presets sounds more Atmospheric in Alchemy. You can really go anywhere with it filling it with the right samples

Re: Arturia Pigments for $69

Played around with it last night, it’s great, very modern sounding, not vintage at all, very clean hi fi, can do a bit of everything, can make percussion/rhythmic sounds, bass regular synth sounds, granular synthesis is a bit confusing but it was late and I only played around for an hour or so. I ha...

Re: What headphones would you buy for £100-200ish ?

I couldn’t recommend the K701s to anyone, I’ve had the left ear crap out on me twice (once after repair) this time I’m going to crack it open and solder it myself. You can replace parts and undo them easy enough though

I wonder how much of the sequencers and knobs spit out midi CCs could be a great controller for ABL3 as well

I haven’t tried it personally but Serato has a sample plugin now and their pitch algorithms are pretty good.

Re: Power Conditioners / Electromagnetic Noises In The Studio

That sucks man! You have to go through one thing at a time. What do the wall power plugs look like in your country? Some cheaper things to try would be to change the jug plug cable going into your computer (your computer power supply). I’ve read that Corsair power supplies have had this issue (Googl...

Re: Midi Sync with Ableton as Master

I think he means how does the ERM get it’s clock, if it’s the same as Innerclock systems, it’s actually driven by an audio click into the machine (the software helps with this as well)
