ok, now you both made me start wondering if i will or will not buy the synth haha !
i'm gonna check it out in a couple of weeks ... not really available for the next weekends ... guess it will be something for next year

It looks like i know where i will be spending quite some time !

i also do not prefer too much compression during production phase because it might limit myself during mixing & mastering ... That's a really bad way of thinking. There is no reason to say "oh I won't do this because I want to do it in mastering" I mean, you can't really master your own music anywa...

my go to plugin as well ... especially on drums in multiband mode

for me it is nothing more then a small lead with loads of reverb & delay on it (full wet) and then resample and putting in a sampler with a loop on a small piece and with crossfades on begin & end ...

remove all sustain & a bit of attack of multiband processing of your kick for both high & mid bands --> this cleans up a lot of frequencies which can be filled with the leads/pads/vocals/ ...

i always try to do the following "trick" :
kick --> search for the root note
bass --> add a perfect fifth note
sub --> add the same bass with very low eq'ed and then add something like Meldaproductions MBassador ... a unique piece of plugin !

As for me i bought a Soundcraft Signature 22MTK which has the possibility for both worlds : multitrack recording & audio device in one ... so i'm more than happy with this one ! I can connect (thru patchbay) multiple hardware devices and even daisychain stompboxes in between the signal path ...

Never doubt about this ! I've been using them for a lot of years and still for me the one-to-go-to plugins ... Especially the Fabfilter C2 nowadays with the sidechain options ...
