Gona give the mellowmuse a go now
Re: Limiters
Man, the amount of dope plugins that are windows only. Feel like I'm missing out
Re: Limiters
Yeah, you can get creative effects with traditional and analog or analog style limiters but their behaviour is very very different to modern brickwall limiters which essentially just kill dynamics mostly transparently. So in terms of new limiters all you are doing is killing dynamics which is not r...

I never use them aside from making my tracks louder. Ive heard of people using them "creatively".. What am i missing out on? ?

Re: Optymist
It`s more of an EQ issue I think, just a little more space between the sounds would help. I`m listening here on the mastering monitors and if I were to master this I would probably pull back some of the 200-600 area where it`s a little overly dense, and then maybe I would pick out the transients a ...

I must admit I'm getting envious hearing you lot talk about these Elektron boxes, especially after listening to these tracks. Sounding dope

@Lynx, i think he means a lack of spaciousness between the elements. Id like this clarified too.

Re: What next?
Send your tracks to some DJ's, Merah, see if anyone starts playing them and get your name on some tracklistings. I'm coming at the genre from a slightly different angle to you, but I've found some other like minded people to connect with via Soundcloud and thats opening a few doors for me. The whol...

Re: What next?
My mate wrote a pretty cool book about it that got published a while back, stuff about long tail sales and income avenues in respect to music, he interviewed me about how I have navigated it all, along with lots of other musicians. He`s a professor who deals a lot with what they call Music 2.0 I`ll...

Re: What next?
I go along with Lynx's point that there should be a natural symbiosis between what you create and the work you put in and the payment you receive, but it may well not be monetary.

Re: What next?
I'd like to add that besides starting your own label or approach labels with your tracks you can test out the area and get some expose at the same time. What I did was setup a bandcamp page, make it look fancy(label-like) and create an album. Every time you finish a track drop it on soundcloud and ...

Re: What next?
The emphasis wouldn't be so much on starting a label, i just heard that if you wanted to release tunes via distro on iTunes and whatever you need some kind of label, at least a name. I was planning to build a fan base using social media and in the next couple of months set up a band camp and also l...

Re: What next?
have you thought of sending tracks to smaller for digital/net labels you wont make money , even the smaller for profit labels wont make you money , but you will get exposure , tracks out there , people enjoying your music . it will hopefully keep growing and lead to more and more exposure the advan...

Re: What next?
Starting your own label these days means nothing really. Every day a hundred new artists decide they have music they want to release and think the best way is to start a "label". If you start a " label" then you are just some guy releasing his own music. To what fanbase will you present your label?...
