Re: Headphone help

So, after reading about Etymotic on here I recently bought a pair of ER3XR as I'm traveling quite often and it's just too much of hassle to bring regular cans. Wasn't expecting much really but wow.. These are some seriously good headphones. :) Thanks for the tip!

Re: Summer Is Over!

Returned home a few days ago after a two month stay in my home country. No hot water since coming home = cold showers since coming home. Loving it! Besides that, summer's s been good and I've still got 1,5 months off before going back to work. Not complaining. Finished a couple of tracks too, nice. ...

Re: NI is giving for free TRK 01 Play

This is great. I bought the TRK-01 recently but only use the bass synth and usually without the internal sequencer. Interface is nice and I like the sound of the FM and WEST
oscillators. Good stuff :)

Re: Ableton 9.5 & Push 2

^ Yeah, Push is very nice for getting ideas down but as others have said, it's best if you use it with stock devices. Since they added Collections using Push is a lot nicer. The new step sequencer is really good too. As is the possibility to access ins/outs directly from Push, not that it's in any w...

Re: Food

I don’t cook basically. Don’t do much production either. Perhaps there’s a connection here.. :?: :!:  Cooking to me is something social, as Lost to the void puts it, it’s about sharing love. Since becoming single one year ago I basically stopped cooking. Not being home much and only cooking for...

Re: Balancing creative ambitions with real life responsibili

My issue now is TIME and the lack there of. I have fuck all time. My next move is to go to HR after next summer and tell them I really have to work 4 days a week. That will help. Its almost impossible to produce and keep a full time job. Hear hear. On the same topic and on topic.. I work full time ...

Re: Balancing creative ambitions with real life responsibili

Throw your own parties. Common answer to that question on here if I'm not mistaken and great advice.. Things rarely "just happen" so don't wait for "something" to happen, do something yourself instead. It's easy to say, but to do it it's totally different thing, when you don't have any contacts and...

Re: Help me build a portfolio

Yes that's the one I'm willing to apply next year. Right now I'm working on my Berlin based connections (mostly labels). I've never even prepared a CV in my life before so I don't know how to showcase my work without looking pretentious. good luck on finding a flat for a reasonable price.....it's b...

Re: Balancing creative ambitions with real life responsibili

It has been about five months now since I quit my job and started a one-man company. The job was making me feel like a caged animal. However, I also felt I wouldn't be able to achieve the goals I have with producing if I kept working there. With that being said, I haven't found any time to produce ...

Re: Balancing creative ambitions with real life responsibili

But what to do if the producer , doesn't have any contacts, and friends either to show his production? Then they build connections and contacts. I'm a green on this, give an exmaple Throw your own parties. Common answer to that question on here if I'm not mistaken and great advice.. Things rarely "...

Re: Push Turn Move - book on electronic instruments design

Well, different strokes for different folks I guess.. do you want a glossy coffee table book on electronic music interfaces with not much content or are you genuinely interested in interface design and want to read up on it? Me, I thought it was a fun idea for a book, knowing I hardly would read it ...

Re: Push Turn Move - book on electronic instruments design

Looks like any other overpriced coffee table book published by Taschen. I'd say this is pretty spot on. I backed the project on Kickstarter so I got mine a few weeks back. Haven't had the time to read it yet, just flicked through it. Content is very shallow so if you're looking for in depth writing...
