Re: T-Shirt merchant barred from playing music by Tolerancis

Well the problem with the left is that it has the same non-think as the right. People are treating ideas and ideals as dogma, just repeating stuff parrot fashion without looking at context, without really applying reason. It`s not that things have been pushed too far, I mean at the heart of it, soc...

Re: T-Shirt merchant barred from playing music by Tolerancis

To be more serious for a moment.. I`m left I suppose. Some might even say extreme left, as an anarchist, but even I find some of the SJW madness on the left woeful, just blinkered and unreasoned. I agree, when people start accusing a badly made sandwich of cultural approriation we've gone to far. I...

Re: Building a new computer

looks like a load of premium parts there mate. Not sure you can go too far wrong. A bit confused by the triple hard disk thing you have going on but I'm sure there's good reason. I just personally wouldn't have any need for a 4tb spinner. My current laptop is 120gb and it's only half full! Regarding...

Re: This sold me on Bitwig

I've been curious about Bitwig as well. However, I'm 100% sure that any creative limitations I'm currently experiencing have nothing to do with the software I'm using and actually rest with me. I've changed DAW multiple times (and dabbled with loads) and I think to take time out to learn another one...

I have 2. Wasn't sure about updating to 3, but I might give the demo a whirl.

Re: Dub Machines Free VST (last chance)

I've been playing with it and I think it's pretty cool, blurs into reverb territory in some modes which is nice, can see me using it a fair bit.

Re: dubdub - aquatic electro dub

Not really sure what you're going for in terms of I don't listen to a lot of stuff like this. I was waiting for some booming low bass to come in to counter the snappy drums but it never happened. Also the drum beat is kinda jerky which I guess is your intention but maybe another element needs to be ...

Re: Roland claims IP infringement, shuts down ReBirth

Funny how Roland been so massively behind and never understood which major advantage they had for a long time with their machines. The market was screaming for re-launches or miniature version of them. They never understood it, though it was right there in-front their eyes. And NOW, when they final...

Re: Why we do what we do, and why we sometimes cant.

1. What is your art really about? I got into dance music via rave cassettes that were shared on the playground. Non of us had been to a rave, or really knew what it was but something about the music and the underground nature of it had me hooked. I guess I'd always liked electronic music though, I r...

Re: Building a new computer

Some recommendations for the intel k series chips. For a workstation I'd personally avoid that, you have to pay extra for the chip and then extra for a mother board that can over clock it, then you're looking at custom cooling etc. I really don't see the point for this. I'd try and keep fans (and t...

Re: Building a new computer

Ryzen are good for workstation situations apparently, lots of cores. Not so good for gaming right now it would seem. I'd consider one for a music workstation however, I'm pretty sure all Ryzen chips require you to buy a discrete GPU. As such I would probably get an intel chip that had onboard graphi...

Re: Root . Wild Space

I think that's pretty decent. I like the "field recording" type noises you have used in there. I'm not such a fan of the "cowbell" percussion noise in the breakdown when it comes in dry. It sounds good later in the break when you throw a bit more reverb over it. The clap/snare, is that what you were...
